1. Overview

Welcome to Made in Japan Bass Collection ("we," "our," "us"). By visiting our Shopify or Reverb storefronts, or purchasing an instrument from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Instrument Conditions & Accuracy

  • Curated Status: We specialize in high-tier, specialized Japanese domestic market (MIJ) bass guitars. All listings include precise technical specifications, weights, and high-resolution condition photography.

  • As-Is Sales: Due to the rare, vintage, or boutique nature of these instruments, certain items are sold as-is, and will be explicitly stated otherwise. By purchasing, you acknowledge that you have reviewed all provided technical specs and condition reports.

3. Payments & Currency

  • All prices are listed in USD.

  • Payments must be cleared in full via our authorized processors (Shopify Payments, Reverb Pay, etc.) before any instrument is packed or dispatched.

4. Shipping, Insurance, & Transit Risk

 All domestic and international shipments are dispatched fully insured. Pursuant to a standard shipment contract, risk of loss and title pass to the buyer upon our delivery of the instrument to the carrier. However, in the event of transit damage or loss, Made in Japan Bass Collection will fully manage and execute the insurance claim with the carrier. Buyers must retain all original packaging and provide comprehensive photo documentation within 48 hours of delivery to facilitate the claim process. Refunds or repair allocations will be issued upon the carrier's claim evaluation.

5. Returns & Refunds

    • 7-Day Return Window: Buyers have 7 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return request.

    • Condition Requirement: To qualify for a refund, the instrument must be returned in the exact, identical condition in which it was received. It must include all original packaging, case candy, hangtags, and protective materials if included.

    • Inspection & Return Fees: Every returned instrument undergoes a rigorous technical and cosmetic inspection upon arrival.

      • Buyer’s Remorse: If a return is initiated due to buyer's remorse, preference, or weight/specifications clearly stated in the original listing, the buyer is responsible for the cost of fully insured return shipping, and the original shipping costs are non-refundable.

      • Alterations: Any signs of wear, modification, setup adjustments, or component swapping will void the return eligibility or result in a significant restocking fee based on diminished value.

6. Limitation of Liability

 Made in Japan Bass Collection shall not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the products sold on this site.
